Scholen Charles is a dedicated community leader with over 20 years of experience in hosting sporting events and engaging youth in impactful programs. As the Founder of ShockTown’s YES Community Program, Scholen combines his expertise in sports, law enforcement, and community outreach to empower young people and foster safer, stronger communities.
A seasoned law enforcement professional, Scholen has served with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office since 2014, where he gained extensive experience in community policing, crime prevention, and education. He is a certified TCOLE instructor and Crime Prevention Specialist in Texas, having developed and implemented crime prevention programs such as PANDA and CPTED. These programs have not only reduced crime but also educated law enforcement, youth, and the public on important safety measures.
Scholen’s leadership extends beyond law enforcement, with a strong background in organizing sports-focused initiatives that encourage teamwork, confidence, and leadership in youth. His 20+ years in hosting sporting events have been instrumental in promoting physical and mental well-being among young people.

Jason Iken brings over 22 years of engineering and operational leadership experience to ShockTown’s YES Community Program. As a Professional Engineer (TX #90181), he has demonstrated expertise in program execution, operational management, and construction oversight. His career highlights include managing budgets of up to $370M and leading teams of over 700 employees within the City of Houston’s Wastewater Operations Branch.
Jason is a proven entrepreneur, owning and operating diverse businesses, including Evolution Fitness and Wellness, where he excels in finance, client care, and system automation. His common-sense approach to problem-solving and ability to balance daily operations with long-term vision make him a valuable asset to our organization.
Jason is also a seasoned public speaker, having presented at numerous conferences and civic events, including those sponsored by the University of Houston, the Water Environment Association of Texas, and the Buffalo Preservation Association. His technical expertise and leadership skills align with our mission to empower youth and build strong, resilient communities.
